(AP) - A novel treatment using supercharged immune cells appears to work against tumors in children with a rare kind of cancer, researchers reported Wednesday.Nine of 27 children in the Italian study had no sign of cancer six weeks after the treatment, although two later relapsed and died.The treatment — called CAR-T cell therapy — is already used to help the immune system fight leukemia and other cancers in the blood. DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah (KTVX) – A 40-year-old woman is dead after pushing a fellow climber out of the way of a massive, falling ice column in Utah. The woman, identified as Margrett O'Neill of Salt Lake City, was attempting to scale Raven Falls near Indian Canyon in northeastern Utah on Sunday with two other climbers, according to the Duchesne County Sheriff's Office.As they were climbing, authorities say the ice column fractured and began falling toward the group."One climber pushed their fellow female climber, age 21, out of the way, which probably saved her life," the sheriff's office explained. AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department released details Wednesday surrounding a traffic fatality that occurred the morning of March 31 in the 2900 block of North Interstate 35 Upper Deck southbound.APD said officers responded to a crash between a two-door car and an SUV at approximately 5:14 a.m.According to police, a preliminary investigation showed 24-year-old Milton Castanon-Villatoro crashed his car into the SUV and left the scene without stopping to render aid or call 911. CENTRALIA, Ill. - After missing for more than 70 years, the remains of a Centralia, Illinois, native who died during the Korean War are finally coming home.Following the Singapore Summit between former United States President Donald Trump and North Korea Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un in June 2018, North Korea turned over 55 boxes containing the remains of American service members killed during the Korean War.The remains were brought to the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii on Aug. 1, 2018, and turned over to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) to be identified.Scientists from the DPAA and the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System painstakingly used dental, anthropological, and isotope records, as well as circumstantial evidence, and DNA analysis to identify the remains.
